This iconic form for the water vessel and the cup was born by playing and connecting two conical volumes. When Keiji Takeuchi found this unique detail where two volumes meet by inbound curves acting as a grip, Takeuchi felt it has something and should give it a go. Thanks to the nature of this shape, we can build glass towers like the buildings we see in cities.
